VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Sunday July 13th - Iron Man Competition, Providence

The Autism Project has been asked to provide volunteers for The inaugural Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island. The Ironman competition is a 70.3 mile triathlon with a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and a 13.1 mile run. The swim takes place at Roger Wheeler Beach in Narragansett. The athletes then transition to bike and ride the 56 miles up 1A and out to the western part of the state and into Providence , where they transition to the run part of the race at the State House. The run then takes them through Providence up to Blackstone Blvd and the finish is right in front of the State House on the lawn. The event website is: www.ironmanrhodeisland.com.

We need to provide volunteers to help with Timing Chip Retrieval at the finish line in Providence . We need volunteers to work from 8:30AM – 4PM on Sunday July 13th. We will have 2 shifts that you may sign up for. The first shift is 9:00AM-1:00PM and the second shift is from 12:00-4:00PM. Complimentary parking, food, beverage, and a t-shirt will be provided to all volunteers. Please email mary@theautismproject.org  if you would like to volunteer.
